It is PRECISELY this type of attitude that seems to prevalent among what appears to be a growing fringe that frightens me. This man has said he’ll contribute up to “$100 million to Newt Gingrich or another Republican”, but he has made it clear that his driving force…his Raison d’être is to ensure the successful interests of Israel. It’s clear that his loyalties are to Israel first and foremost, and while Israel is an ally and I’m happy to have them as an ally – I do not wish to have multi-billionaires spending $100 million to influence American elections for the benefit of non-Americans.
This is inherently UNAMERICAN by definition. Imagine if a wealthy Muslim financier was willing to give $100 million to Barack Obama and had a pressing issue to ensure that Iran was the dominant influence within the middle east. Can you imagine….bottom line – it isn’t good to have one billionaire being able to influence elections like this…to buy their candidate of choice. I find it morally reprehensible and if we don’t fix it soon – our goose will be cooked.

The issue of Israel is a very important issue to this 72 year old Billionaire. He’s a major donor that allows 240,000 kids to visit Israel to become ambassadors to “advocate for Israel’s interests”.
