Over 100 students protested a Board of Trustees meeting at Santa Monica college over rising tuition fees. Police were completely unprepared for the size of the crowd and after the protests continued – they decided to pepper spray up to 30 people.
From the L.A. Times:
Several were also overcome when pepper spray was released just outside the meeting room as officers tried to break up the crowd. Police are investigating the circumstances of when the pepper spray was used and by whom.
Cameron Espinoza was outside the board meeting in the back of the crowd when she heard screams. “I saw all these students rushing and they were crying,” said Espinoza, 19, who is director of outreach for the student government. “I couldn’t stop coughing.”
No arrests were made.
The meeting room was cleared and trustees adjourned to another room. Santa Monica police were called in to secure the perimeter of the building.

“Tax the Rich” — is it not the mantra of the greedy welfare class and their Marxist exhortionists ( ones who exhort others to certain actions), who see their benefits at risk?
Tuition in a state college is a tax, so the students should be welcoming it…
…and besides then they can go further into debt, thus making the Obama look good in his spending frenzy.
You who would be class warriors against tyranny & its Obama should well recognize the symptoms
Did you see Bloomberg’s announcement that the richest 20% of people on earth gained $12.5 Billion in the past week? That, you may not realize, represents the difference between the value that employees produce and the amount they are paid for their work.
Why is it greedy for workers to want fair compensation for their work, in salaries and in services bought with their taxes, when it is not greedy for a person who was born into or lucked into obscene amounts of money to want to take it all, leaving workers just enough to buy enough food to be able to keep working?
Tell that to Obama, who spends some 10 billion PER DAY…
.. and which is why I am self-employed.
Why is it greedy for people to keep the money they earn, but not for this tyrant of a president to steal it?
