What’s the difference between a cult and religion? It’s popularity.
This video comes from the International House of Prayer (IHOP)’s Signs and Wonders camp. This is a scary thing. So – kids are now healing sick people. They’re based in Kansas City. This video is very well produced, and it’s good marketing. This how the virus grows and it’s tax free … so win-win.
So – Jesus Camp above is Indoctrination 1.0. Which leads us to Indoctrination 2.0.
Now watch this video below … this really saddens and frightens me frankly. What the girl is saying is pretty intense. You’ve got a girl on the stage testifying about her sexual abuse in front of everyone … crying with the soft piano cords in the background and I feel for her pain. From a purely theatrical perspective … it’s moving.
But then she realized that the only thing preventing her from having god in her life is her own shame and her own guilt. It’s all her fault you see. But god came to her and removed all that guilt. And then the cool sounding preacher with an awesome accent thus upping the cool factor of the church asks her to go back and explain more.
“But every week I went to this class that I hated and didn’t want to go to…God used some of the leaders to pray for me and I just felt the blanket of shame just leave my body… the shame that had kept me at such a distance.
And even now I just weep because I feel his love for me. It’s hard to even talk because I hear his voice just over me… how he feels. He’s so gentle with me. He has every good gift for me and he wants to give them all to me. And he just keeps telling me what he’s going to do with my life and with my testimony and how I’m going to overcome because of his blood.”
So – god ACTUALLY talks to her. He fights directly for her. He’s intimately involved in her life daily. But he didn’t stop her abusers from molesting her. Quite a conundrum. And I’m trying to figure out if she knows she’s full of shit or she’s just that deep in the rabbit hole of mental brainwashing.
And then there is this testimony from a former 3.5 year member of IHOP … she says this church is bad, bad, bad. It’s interesting how these types of religious institutions start to segregate the “nonbelievers” from the “believers”. The Church of Scientology has the same M.O.; as soon as someone is accused or suspected of doubting the word of the leaders of the church … they start to get isolated & quarantined. The rest of the members are told not to associate with the “black sheep” because we do not want this cancer spreading.
This church has decided to ramp up it’s spending from 20% of it’s money on “outreach” to 50% of it’s money on “outreach” which means they are trying to grow, grow, grow. They’re growing like Inspector Gadget’s body parts and they’re hoping you can be their next victim … excuse me – member. Let them prey on you … excuse me – pray for you.
