“This is somebody who confronted a family inside their homes and took their lives very violently. It’s shocking, even to veteran law enforcement”
~Sacramento County Spokesman Jason Ramos
Sad story. Really beautiful picture. If you want to know why he’s holding the baby – here you go.
The Associated Press has the story HERE:
A mother and her two toddlers were found violently slain inside their home in suburban Sacramento Tuesday afternoon, sending police scrambling for leads in the residential neighborhood. A 6 month-old infant was later found crying inside a crib in the back of the house, authorities said.
The father, who was married to the slain mother, ran to the home of a neighbor, who called the police. Ramos said officers found the “extremely distraught” man sitting in front of the house when they arrived. The family is of eastern European descent.
Ramos said officers were not yet revealing the method of death, but did remark on the extreme brutality of the crime.

And apparently – police have charged the brother-in-law for the murder of Alina Bukhantsov – 23 and her two kids both 2 and 3 years old. The NY Daily News has the story HERE:
Grigoriy Bukhantsov, 19, was arrested Wednesday in Rancho Cordova, near Sacramento. He is the only suspect in the murder of 23-year-old Alina Bukhantsov, her 3-year-old daughter Emmanuela and her 2-year-old son Avenir a day earlier.
Grigoriy Bukhantsov’s brother Denis came home Tuesday to find his wife and children dead, the Modesto Bee reported.
The two kids were stabbed in the neck and torso, and Alina Bukhantsov was stabbed in the chest, a coroner said. The couple’s 6-month-old son was home at the time but wasn’t hurt.
