Just a reminder – America gives Israel $3 billion a year to fund Israel’s Apartheid state. As I have made the case HERE – most American Jews support Israel’s right to exist but do not support the illegal, abhorrent, racist actions of the Israeli government. For me personally – I find this to be beneath the Jewish people. I support Israel’s right to exist but I also support Palestine’s right to exist and right now – Israel is the occupying force demolishing infrastructure and killing innocents … stealing lands and using strong arm tactics to take whatever they please regardless of what’s “right” or “wrong”.
Israel is am embarrassment to the world and the longer they continue these actions – the longer they’re going to be perceived a pariah state in the world. As I have shared HERE – Israel ranks among North Korea, Pakistan, and Iran in terms of unpopularity in the world. They don’t seem to care because they know as long as America fights their battles for them … they’ll be just fine. Enough is enough.
Haaretz points us to the systemic and continuous occupying force that is the Israeli government in the West Bank HERE:
Altogether, according to UN data, Israel razed some 400 Palestinian structures in the West Bank’s Area C between the start of the year and mid-August, including 120 houses; more than 600 Palestinians were hurt by these demolitions. Area C is the part of the West Bank that the Oslo Accords assigned to full Israeli control.
The structures destroyed yesterday were in four communities located in the south Hebron Hills.
So – what are the Israelis destroying exactly? Storage spaces for feed, tents, sheepfolds, water containers to store large supplies of water for agriculture etc; they’re destroying INFRASTRUCTURE. And what was their reasoning? They said it was “illegal”. These Palestinians have lived on this land since even before Israel became an occupying force of Palestine in 1967. They’ve been there forever but it’s illegal according to the Israelis.
Do you remember when Mitt Romney recently went on his trip overseas to Israel to showcase how attuned he is with the Israeli cause … and then he said this at a fundraiser HERE:
As you come here and you see the GDP per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000 dollars, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian Authority, which is more like $10,000 per capita, you notice such a dramatically stark difference in economic vitality.
Well – the reason that Palestinians can’t build their economy is because the Israeli government continues to destroy it. As we’ve shared HERE:
“Around 40 percent of the West Bank is effectively off-limits to Palestinians, with access highly restricted, due to settlements, outposts, bypass roads, military bases, closed military areas and areas Israel has declared as being nature reserves.”

Amer Zahr says it is because Israelis do not consider Palestinians human HERE:
It is no small thing to say that the state of Israel views Palestinians as subhuman. I do not say it lightly. I have traveled to Israel many times, encountering the various checkpoints, border crossings, and security personnel. I am always shocked by how Palestinians deal with this everyday. I am never shocked by, sadly, the subhuman manner in which Israel treats them.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once referred to the Palestinian citizens of Israel as a “demographic threat.” That remark, is, of course, utterly racist. But one has to wonder how someone like Mr. Netanyahu, who graduated from both high school and college in America, could refer to a group of people that existed in that land for centuries before the establishment of Israel as a “demographic threat.” The answer is simple: Palestinians are simply not human.
And as we’ve shared HERE – the Israeli government fully controls where and on what roads Palestinians may travel on. And Palestinians have to live in fear of violent Israeli settlers like this HERE every day.
Look at this detailed map below of the number of Israeli settlements (purple) in the West Bank. Israel is always complaining about Hamas but Hamas doesn’t control the West Bank – they control the Gaza strip. And yet – they continue to build on these lands. In fact – this map is 12 years old and does not show the huge increase in Israeli settlements over the past 6 years.
You can see a larger version of this map HERE.
