“There was a lot of talk about hard truths and bold choices but nobody ever actually bothered to tell you what they were.”
~President Obama – Des Moines, Iowa on 9/1/12
If you watched the Republican National Convention … ask yourself what Mitt Romney has actually proposed to help usher America forward to reduce unemployment and create good paying jobs.
His plan is almost identical to the George W. Bush plan; I genuinely do not see any substantive differences with the policies of President Bush and Governor Romney. I can think of immigration as an issue that they differ … other than that – their policies are the same. If anything Romney’s policies are worse because he is calling for even MORE in terms of tax cuts for the richest Americans. I find it amazing that so many people are still willing to vote for Romney.
To illustrate what I mean … let me reference my prior comments HERE:
Consider this for a moment…on the day that George W. Bush left office with:
#1 – 800,000 jobs being lost EVERY SINGLE MONTH
#2 – 4 million people had lost their jobs in the past 12 months
#3 – He had just passed a $700 billion bailout with no accountability or transparency for TBTF banks
#4 – He passed a $35 billion bailout for Detroit which Republicans have criticized President Obama for
#5 – Two full scale wars with no end in sight
#6 – The Dow Jones had dropped from over 14,000 to 8,599
#7 – Millions of people had lost or were on the verge of losing their homesRepublican voters had a 75% approval rating of George W. Bush the last month George W. Bush was in office.
THINK ABOUT THAT.

That really, really says something. It boggles the mind.

[...] This is who Romney is trying to pander to. And for the coup de grâce - the month George W. Bush left office with 800k jobs lost per month, two wars with no end, an economy that contracted by 8% in the 3 months before, a banking sector that required a $750 billion bailout, the stock market lost half its value in the 6 months prior and a $1 trillion deficit and Republican voters gave him a 75% approval rating (source).
