“C.I.A. officers are there and they are trying to make new sources and recruit people.”
~Unnamed Arab intelligence official
I have written MANY times about the American war in Syria HERE. It is abundantly clear that the Syrian “freedom fighters” are being supported financially by someone outside of their own group. It takes real money to handle logistics of food, weapons and intelligence. It has gotten to the point where information has been leaked to make it appear that America has only been helping for a couple of weeks. Let me tell you- we’ve been there a LOT longer than that. Or do you believe everything you read in the newspaper? Bottom line – as I have said before ….this is an American war on Syria and it’s 100% about Iran and geo-politics.
And no – it’s not conspiracy theory or weird to say publicly that our country has been engaged in terrorism in various parts around the world. When an oil pipeline is destroyed with military grade explosives and two military compounds see military grade car bombs … that’s terrorism. When we pay foreign fighters to come into Syria to fight in the “Free Syria Army” – that’s terrorism. Is Bashar Al-Assad a huge dick that I would like to beat senseless? Yes. Is America’s intervention in Syria having the effect of thousands of innocents being killed? Yes.
The NY Times has the story HERE:
A small number of C.I.A. officers are operating secretly in southern Turkey, helping allies decide which Syrian opposition fighters across the border will receive arms to fight the Syrian government, according to American officials and Arab intelligence officers.
The weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the officials said. The State Department has authorized $15 million in nonlethal aid, like medical supplies and communications equipment, to civilian opposition groups in Syria.
